Eliza began working with us in June 2007, and spent the summer traveling to
shows with us and helping out around the farm. Though she is just 16 years, she
has no trouble keeping up with the demands of the job, including daily chores,
exercising horses, preparing for shows, and helping out with taking in hay.
Eliza quickly got the hang of showing, placing first in showmanship at her first
two shows, Saratoga and Cobleskill, this past July. She also took third place in
judging and showmanship at the NY State Fair, and fourth in a tough cart class
at KILE this fall. She lives in nearby Knox, NY and is currently a junior at
Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School, where she is an honor student. She also has
a retired Standardbred racehorse of her own, whom she rides and is training
using Pat Parelli's celebrated training methods.

Out For A Ride...

going western, and competed successfully at several local and regional shows
with her.
