Minnie was born here at the farm on February 5, 1988. She is out of Walker House
Surprise and by Folly Farm Grey Forrester. A large percentage of the foals we
are having now are direct descendants of Minnie's, since her daughters Ox Kill
Koorahana and Ox Kill Minnie Pearl are two of our top producers. At 20 years old
she is still an important part of our herd, as she is responsible for
babysitting our recently weaned foals, and is often the horse we put first time
riders on to build their confidence. She also attends the "Gas Up" every June,
which is a local antique engine show run by the Hudson Mohawk Pioneer Gas Engine
Association. Here she runs an antique horse powered dump wagon, showing the
public the real meaning of the word horsepower!

Always Watching...
Here Minnie watches the crane in action at the 2003 "Gas Up".

Taking a Rest...
Here Minnie lets a local youngster named Cassie rest her feet,
as the two watch an antique steam engine pass by in the distance. |
